Understanding International Moving Accreditations
What they are, why they matter, and how we ensure quality through our accredited global partners

When choosing an international moving company, accreditations serve as trusted benchmarks of quality, safety, compliance, and professional standards. These industry certifications are awarded only to companies that demonstrate a consistent track record of excellence across global mobility operations.
At MoverFocus, while we do not yet hold these accreditations directly, we collaborate exclusively with global partners and agents who do. This ensures our clients benefit from certified quality and international compliance, while receiving personal, flexible service from a team with deep operational expertise.
Led by Industry Expertise
Our founder, Warwick Woodley, brings over 40 years of international moving experience and is a former FIDI Academy Trainer — one of the select professionals globally invited to lead training for the industry's most prestigious educational institution. Major International Moving Accreditations
The industry standards that guide quality international moving services
FIDI Global Alliance – FAIM Certification
The FIDI-FAIM Quality Standard is the only globally recognized certification tailored for the international moving industry. Audited by Ernst & Young, it includes over 200 quality benchmarks covering customer service, operational compliance, risk mitigation, and financial integrity.
IAM – International Association of Movers
With over 2,000 members in 170+ countries, IAM offers international recognition and resources. Some members also hold IAM Trusted Mover status — an advanced validation that further distinguishes top-performing companies.
ISO Certifications
ISO standards such as ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 27001 (Information Security) apply to some international moving companies and their operations.
BAR – British Association of Removers
Relevant in the UK, BAR accredited companies follow a code of practice and are financially bonded for consumer protection.
EuRA – European Relocation Association
EuRA offers the Global Quality Seal (GQS), based on ISO 9001 principles, making it a standard in corporate relocation service quality.
Regional Accreditations
- AFRA – Australian Furniture Removers Association: Regulates Australian removalists, focusing on equipment standards, staff training, and professional conduct.
- CAM – Canadian Association of Movers: Accredits companies operating in and out of Canada, ensuring regulatory, financial, and service standards.
- AMSA/ATA ProMover (USA): The ProMover certification helps identify ethical and compliant U.S. moving companies.
